I reside on the unceded territories of the Lekwungen and Coast Salish nations with my partner and our future cats. We both grew up in the prairies, studied in Ontario and abroad, met in the Big Smoke, and eventually found our way to the West Coast.
I completed both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture, at the University of Waterloo in Cambridge, Ontario. As a student, I took work terms in Alberta, British Columbia, and the Northwest Territories, accruing two years’ work experience during the five-year undergraduate program. Between degrees, I worked in Victoria, BC as an assistant to an Architect. For my graduate studies, I studied the architecture of the Burning Man festival, with a focus on rituals and creative collaboration. After graduating, I spent two years working with a small Toronto-based firm that specialized in sustainability and energy efficiency. After re-locating to Vancouver Island, I joined DAU Studio, and enjoy learning and growing with their team.
Along life’s journey, I have become a musician, dancer, puppeteer, songwriter, yoga teacher, Thai yoga masseur, and Intern Architect. I cherish all these passions, and am constantly finding new ones to dabble in. My desire for creative self-expression keeps me inspired and motivated, while self-care and bodywork keep me grounded and nourished.
