It’s a Snail! It’s an Oyster! It’s… The Mollusk Nation!

Hatched in 2011 on a dry lakebed in the Black Rock Desert, The Mollusk Nation has risen at thirteen Burns and counting, including three burns at Burning Man (Black Rock City, Nevada), four burns at Mooseman (Minden, Ontario), one burn at Burn in the Forest (Mainland British Columbia), and five burns on Vancouver Island at Otherworld (2017 & 2022-2025). Our moist nation embodies and celebrates all aspects of the Kingdom of Mollusks. Our leaders and citizens work together to create participatory artistic experiences that celebrate play in all the ways our slimy hearts can dream. Each year our nation takes shape with new creations, and classics like The Pearl Palace, The Sticky Snail Slow Bar, and Nauticlub, which celebrate the finest Phylum – Mollusca!
