The Chiton Kitchen is an infrastructure project that will provide a dry and protected space for Mollusk Nation members to store and prepare food. In the great tradition of mollusk-making, this large tent takes its inspiration from the noble Chiton. Chitons dwell on rocks and other hard surfaces in marine waters. Their protective dorsal shell consists of 8 interlocking plates, which protects their soft underbellies and helps them to camouflage with their surroundings.
Our national cuisine is as varied as the mollusca phylum itself, but in the past our public offerings have included clam-linguine, fresh ceviche, and potato soup.
